Hear tips from three expert leaders on how to approach a crucial conversation followed by a series of video clips of important conversations done well and poorly. The speakers will then share their thoughts about what went well and suggestions for improvement.

Dr. Cohen Cohen,-Jeff-5-2022-Website-(1).jpgreceived his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and medical degree and general surgery training at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery at the Lahey Clinic, and also received an advanced leadership and management degree as a Certified Physician Executive from the American College of Physician Executives. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Connecticut and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Quinnipiac University. Having held numerous positions at Hartford HealthCare over the past decade, Dr. Cohen is presently the Executive Vice President & Chief Clinical Operating Officer for the healthcare system. 

Sosa,-Julie-Ann-wb-(2).jpgJulie Ann Sosa, MD MA FACS is the Leon Goldman MD Distinguished Professor of Surgery and Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where she is also a Professor in the Department of Medicine and affiliated faculty for the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the World Journal of Surgery and is an editor of Greenfield’s Surgery: Scientific Principles and Practice. She is an NIH- and FDA-funded investigator. 

Hall,-Jason-2022-website.jpgJason F. Hall, MD, MPH, FACS, FASCRS is the Surgeon-in-Chief and Chair of Surgery at Tufts Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School. He completed his general surgery training at MGH and colorectal surgery fellowship at Lahey Clinic. Dr. Hall’s research interests include colorectal cancer, diverticulitis and fistulas, with several of his studies appearing in national academic journals.
