Important Information for ASCRS Annual Scientific Meeting Speakers/Presenters

Registration 

Registration is now open. All presenters and speakers of the 2022 ASCRS Annual Scientific Meeting are required to register for the meeting and are responsible for all registration fees, travel arrangements and other related expenses.

Speaker Instructions

Please download the Annual Scientific Meeting slide template for your presentation.
Your second slide must be your disclosure slide either listing your financial relationships or stating you have no relationships to disclose. The slide template includes examples. During your presentation you will be required to verbally state your disclosure while this slide is shown. If you do NOT disclose on your slides and verbally, we will not be able to offer CME for your presentation.

Symposium/Workshop Speakers

Overview
  • Speakers can upload their presentation via a link and individual login credentials to ProjectionNet which will be sent March 1st from Projection, ASCRS AV Company if you would like to upload your presentation prior to arriving in Tampa, FL. Deadline to upload is Wednesday, March 30th.
  • Speakers can also upload their presentation in the Speaker Ready Room, Room 24 at the Tampa Convention Center.
  • Please make sure your second slide is your disclosure slide, listing your financial relationships or stating you have no relationships to disclose. Examples are included in the slide template.

Upload Instructions 

  • Acceptable formats for presentations include PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf).
  • All presentations MUST be made using PowerPoint or Keynote files (16:9 format). Please bring your presentation to the Speaker Ready Room (Room 24 at the Tampa Convention Center) at least 8 hours (preferably 24 hours) prior to the start of the session in which you are speaking. Presentations from laptops and iPads will NOT be permitted.
  • Use short video segments when merited and try to keep the file to less than 20 MB to reduce loading times.
  • PowerPoint embeds image files directly into the file when you save them, while video files are not embedded. Only a link is made to the video file. Copy the video clips you want to insert into the same folder as the PowerPoint file. This will eliminate the problem of PowerPoint losing the link to the file. Be sure to bring the video files and the PowerPoint files to the meeting.

Abstract Presenters

Manuscript Submission to the DC&R

Plenary and podium presentations MUST submit a manuscript to the DC&R via this link no later than Thursday, March 17, 2022, or your presentation will be removed from the program. Please submit your Original Contribution as a Plenary contribution. You will find this article type for this required submission available in Editorial Manager. Choose the one that matches the presentation and submit in compliance with the guidelines for authors.  https://edmgr.ovid.com/dcr/accounts/ifauth.htm

  • 2022 ASCRS Required Plenary Original Contribution Submission (Tampa)

All other presentation types (Video, New Technology, General Surgery Forum, Research Forum and ePoster presentations) may submit a manuscript, but it is not mandatory.

Abstract Podium Presentations

Overview

ePoster Presenters 

Overview
  • All accepted presentations must be presented in person. 
  • Speakers will receive an email March 1st from Projection, ASCRS AV Company which will include a link and individual login credentials to ProjectionNet to submit their presentations online prior to the start of the meeting.
  • ePosters will be displayed throughout the meeting on large monitors offering attendees the ability to search by author, title, or presentation number.
  • During scheduled lunches and most breaks, ePoster presenters will gather around designated monitors in the Innovation Center to answer questions about their research.
  • Presenters must be available to respond to questions from attendees during the designated presentation time.

ePoster Upload Instructions 

Deadline: ePosters must be uploaded no later than end of the day Wednesday, March 30th. ASCRS will not accept ePoster uploads or edits onsite.
The ePosters will be displayed horizontally on a 65” monitor. 
  • No videos 
  • ePoster is 1 PowerPoint Slide saved as a PDF
  • Horizontal layout 
  • Font size should not be smaller than 12 points (Please Note: Monitors will have  zoom in and zoom out feature) 
  • ePosters must be saved as a PDF  
Ongoing Video Room Videos 
Overview
  • There is no formal presentation
  • Speakers will receive an email March 1st from Projection, ASCRS AV Company which will include a link and individual login credentials to ProjectionNet to submit their presentations online prior to the start of the meeting.
  • The Ongoing Video Room will be in Room 17 at the Tampa Convention Center.
  • Videos will be available for viewing Saturday, April 30th – Wednesday May 4th.

Ongoing Upload Instructions 

Deadline: Videos must be uploaded no later than end of the day Wednesday, March 30th. ASCRS will not accept videos after this date.
The ePosters will be displayed horizontally on a 65” monitor. 
  • Videos should be no more than 5 minutes
