The ASCRS Video Mentorship Series is a series of intraoperative video-based coaching sessions, presented in the webinar format, with the goal of sharing operative techniques and improving procedural confidence. During this webinar the moderators will review videos of Encircling and ligation of an intersphincteric fistula tract.

Brian L. Bello, MD, FASCRS, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a graduate degree from Georgetown University. He finished medical school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia and completed a residency in general surgery and fellowships in both minimally invasive surgery and colon and rectal surgery at the University of Chicago. He is currently at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, where he is program director of the colon and rectal surgery fellowship.

Jan P. Kaminski, MD, MBA, FASCRS, received his BS from Vanderbilt University and MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in general surgery at University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals Chicago.  Dr. Kaminski completed a residency in colon and rectal surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.  He is currently at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he is the director of clinical programs at the digestive health institute.

Kunal Kochar, MD, FASCRS, received his MD in India and did his basic surgical training and research fellowship in United Kingdom. After moving to the US, he completed his residency in general surgery at Metro Group of Hospitals, University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by residency in colon and rectal surgery at Cook County Hospital, Chicago. He is currently at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago, IL. He is an Assistant Professor at University of Illinois and Associate program director of the Cook County Colon and Rectal surgery residency program.
