Tripartite Organizations

Tripartite organizations provide exceptional educational offerings through the joint efforts of six colorectal organizations. Organizations from the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia compose the partnership, which collaborates on a scientific meeting every three years. The next Tripartite Meeting will be held in 2020 in Auckland, New Zealand.  

The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland

The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland has more than 1,000 members made up of surgeons, specialist nurses, and allied medical specialists involved in the treatment of patients with colorectal diseases and members in training. Its mission is to advance the knowledge and treatment of bowel diseases in Britain and Ireland.

The Section of Coloproctology Royal Society of Medicine  

The Section of Coloproctology of the Royal Society of Medicine, based in London, is part of one of the United Kingdom’s major providers of postgraduate medical education. Its purpose is promotion of the study of diseases of the colon and rectum by the reading and discussion of papers and by the exhibition and examination of clinical cases, specimens, instruments, and appliances.

Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Colon and Rectal Surgery Section

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), formed in 1927, is a non-profit organization training surgeons and maintaining surgical standards in Australia and New Zealand. The College's purpose is to be the unifying force for surgery in Australia and New Zealand, with FRACS standing for excellence in surgical care.

Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand 

The Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand, also known as CSSANZ, represents specialist colorectal surgeons in these two countries, who are dedicated to ongoing professional development to maintain their expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of intestinal and anorectal problems. The Society has a close relationship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and maintains strong links with many other professional organizations, both nationally and internationally.

The European Society of Coloproctology  

The European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), formed in 2005 from a merger of the European Association of Coloproctology (EACP) and the European Council of Coloproctology (ECCP), is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the science, knowledge, and practice of coloproctology in Europe. Special areas on its website enable national representatives to share information about the colorectal community in their country and with members in their own language.

The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons

The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) is the premier society for colon and rectal surgeons and other surgeons dedicated to advancing and promoting the science and practice of the treatment of patients with diseases and disorders affecting the colon, rectum, and anus. More than 1,300 of the Society's 3,700 members are certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
