Diverticular Case Conference

Monday, May 2, 3:00 - 3:45 pm

CME Credit Hours: 0.75

The management of diverticular disease can be challenging based on the wide range of presentations in clinical practice. This case-based session was designed to better elucidate the nuances of patient care that also reflect evidence-based practice. In conjunction with a panel of invited faculty, we will discuss several common, challenging patient scenarios.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
  1. Describe the evaluation and management of diverticular strictures
  2. Discuss the evaluation and management of diverticular disease in immunocompromised patients
  3. Recognize the role of antibiotics in uncomplicated diverticulitis
  4. Describe the workup and management of diverticular bleeding
