Multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Disease Case Conference

Saturday, April 30, 2:45 - 3:45 pm

CME Credit Hours: 1

The management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is complex and often requires a multidisciplinary approach.  This symposium will provide several “real-world” examples of complex presentations of IBD and will engender vigorous debate regarding various management options.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss how the need for radiation and IPAA impacts clinical decision making
  2. Identify the role for medical management in treating perianal Crohn’s disease
  3. Describe how morbid obesity changes surgical decision making for IBD patients
  4. Create a management strategy for patients with intraabdominal perforations from Crohn’s disease
