There are now several viable options in managing most rectal cancers. These include numerous options for resection, neoadjuvant treatment, surveillance, and management of metastatic disease. This symposium will review several “real-world” presentations of rectal cancer and discuss various approaches to treatment.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
  1. Recognize treatments for locally advanced rectal cancer
  2. Identify treatments for recurrent rectal cancer
  3. Describe treatments for locally advanced rectal cancer
