The management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is complex  and often requires and multidisciplinary approach.  This symposium will address common scenarios in the surgical management of IBD will be addressed.


At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
  1. Enhance knowledge of surgical techniques related to ileocolic resection and anastomosis.
  2. Recognize difficulties and limitations in patients undergoing ileal pouch anal anastomosis creation understand techniques of how to manage them
  3. Enhance knowledge of bowel preserving techniques in patients with severe structuring Crohn's disease
