Anatomy Teaching Video Added to ASCRS Library

The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons is so grateful to Sarah Colborn, wife of the late Dr Gene Louis Colborn, for donating these remarkable anatomy teaching videos for the benefit and education of our members. Dr. Colborn passed away March 14, 2012 at the age of 76. He was a Professor Emeritus of Anatomy at the Medical College of Georgia, and received an MS, PhD, and post-doctorate degrees in Anatomy and Physiology at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine and UTHSA, respectively. His lifelong passion was education in clinical anatomy--teaching residents, students and staff in all medical disciplines, and winning several teaching awards throughout the years for his superb mastery and fervor. It is our sincere hope that Dr. Colborn’s legacy may continue through the education of surgical anatomy with the use of these videos, and generations may comprehend the wonders of human anatomy as only Gene could express.
