CREST® Module -- Refractory Pruritis Ani

This module will include a review of pruritis ani and extramammary Paget's disease.

Upon completion of this module, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify causes and risk factors for pruritis ani.
  2. Describe a treatment algorithm for pruritis ani.
  3. Identify and treat extramammary Paget's disease.

As a Weekly Curriculum module, it is eligible for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

CREST® Releases Rectal Prolapse Module

Check out our newest CREST® Weekly Curriculum module, Rectal Prolapse! This module offers a review of the surgical management options and outcomes for patients with rectal prolapse. Included in the module are a narrated presentation, full-text articles from Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, and a brief posttest.

Objectives:

  • Describe the workup of patients with rectal prolapse and concomitant pelvic floor disorders
  • Review the surgical options for rectal prolapse and discuss how patient age and co-morbidity may influence decision making
  • Discuss the role of laparoscopy in the treatment of rectal prolapse and it's outcomes
