Learning Objectives


The purpose of all sessions at the 2022 ASCRS Annual Scientific Meeting is to advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of disorders of the colon, rectum and anus. At the conclusion of this meeting, participants should be able to:
  • Demonstrate effective management techniques for perioperative complications.
  • Differentiate between medical management, surgical interventions, and treatment strategies for various benign medical conditions such as diverticulitis, IBD, endometriosis, and lower GI bleeding.
  • Illustrate appropriate surgical techniques and medical management for the treatment of anorectal conditions. 
  • Construct management strategies and treatment plans appropriate for malignant conditions. 
  • Apply the appropriate management and treatment strategies for pelvic floor disorders.
