Our newest CREST® Weekly Curriculum module, Pouchitis Diagnosis and Treatment, is now available! This module focuses on pouchitis, including the etiology, diagnosis, first and second-line therapy, and the approach to complicated, recurrent and refractory disease. Included in the module are a narrated presentation, full-text articles from Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, and a brief posttest.
Objectives:
- Understand the etiology, presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute pouchitis.
- Understand the diagnostic approach and treatment of chronic or refractory pouchitis.
- Understand strategies for the maintenance of remission from pouchitis in high-risk patients.
